KA NAE UILA

SCHHA’s Electronic Network or Ka Nae Uila, is SCHHA’s way of using computer technology and the Internet in fulfilling its mission of preserving, protecting, and perpetuating the Hawaiian Homes Commission Act of 1920 for all of the Act’s beneficiaries.  Ka Nae Uila reaches out and connects with all those who are part of or wish to be part of the network.

What the Network Provides

·    Current and up-to-date information on issues critical to the well-being and continued existence of the Hawaiian people. These are issues that come about as a result of pending or current legislation (laws) and lawsuits that are brought at the local, state, and federal government levels.

·    A way in which to tell decision makers at every government level what your opinion or interests are on issues they may be debating and discussing that have to do with the continued existence of the Hawaiian people and the programs and services currently available.

·    A way to demonstrate and show that there are 400,000 Hawaiian people living in the United States, and that we are concerned and involved in keeping our heritage, culture and way of life alive.

The Importance of Ka Nae Uila

Ka Nae Uila is our way of making a difference, providing input from our homes, demonstrating that we, the Hawaiian people, are alive and well.  It is our way of saying that we will not be erased from existence by a decision or a signature.

E OLA MAU KA LAHUI HAWAI‘I.

The SCHHA will continue to use Ka Nae Uila to bring information on the latest happenings, decisions, and outcomes on issues that affect the Hawaiian people.
